ACT-SO, an acronym for, "The Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics" is a major youth initiative of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Founded in 1978, by renowned author and journalist, Vernon Jarrett.
